I know there is a major price differential. But has anyone played both who can offer a comparison?

I’ll answer my own question as I bought both. The Taylor is a far superior sounding guitar. But the PRS punches well above its weight. The difference between the guitars is much smaller than their respective price tags.
That is about what I expected Tiboy.
Gibson, Norman, Fender, PRS, Taylor, Laskin, Thorn, Boogie, Fishman
My experience was quite different. Although the Tayor "feels" better against my body, and the neck is more like an electric, the Angelus "sounds" superior to me in every way. Notes are more clear, and ring longer. The volume seems more balanced between strings. The playing experience seems more musical, and inspiring. Once I understood the capability of the Angelus (it did not take long), it made zero sense to even play the Taylor, and it was sold. "Visually", the 814ce bling is very cool, and my Angelus is kind of a plain Jane. All things considered, the ears win. PS: I realize the Angelus is a higher-end PRS acoustic compaired to the one you reference.
