I haven't really been able to replace a Les Paul with another Singlecut even when you'd would think that the "pretty similar" recipe would yield the same or very similar tone results. Nope, at least not for me.
I really dig the PRS Singlecuts models and their ergonomics, yet as clunky as a Les Paul is, it still feels the most natural and best to me. Not just tone, but balance, neck angle etc...
A Les Paul is home to me.
