    Like all of Joe's creations, this is a stellar piece. Incredibly well-made, and the Kenai model may be the best weight-balanced guitar I've ever owned. I love the short scale length, and it frets effortlessly. The purpleheart is a very dense South American wood, and this neck has that nice slick feel of a dalbergia.

    If you haven't played a Kenai, I suggest a test drive.
